  1. The developer asks Greenbelt to become involved in management of the open space land and features on a new development.
  2. The developer and Greenbelt's development team decide which of Greenbelt's arrangements best suits the circumstances of the development.
  3. Principal terms are agreed (incorporating Greenbelt's standard terms and conditions of offer) after Greenbelt has reviewed the nature of development, planning conditions, site conditions etc.
  4. Greenbelt's in-house solicitor is instructed to prepare and negotiate a legal agreement and legal transfer documents with the developer's solicitors.
  5. If the Greenspace Arrangement is  used, Greenbelt's solicitor reviews the terms of the title conditions/covenants to facilitate greenspace arrangement as soon as principle terms are agreed and agrees the form of wording to link each plot title to the greenspace arrangement. This has to be in place before the first house on the development is sold.
  6. The legal agreement is signed by the developer and Greenbelt.
  7. When the development is complete and all units are sold Greenbelt will arrange handover of the site with the developer.
  8. Legal transfer of ownership is completed and Greenbelt takes over all responsibility for the open spaces and features on the development.
  9. Greenbelt take steps to engage with the community to enhance/promote active management of the open spaces and features on the development.
